THE MAGICIANS TABLETOP ROLEPLAYING GAME GUIDE, also known as THE MAGICIANS DND, is a fan-made project financed and written by fans!
In the summer of 2018, the author decided to took upon herself to write an unofficial book for people to play a dnd-like game with the universe and lore of Syfy’s show and Lev Grossman’s book The Magicians.
The Fillorian System is a mixture of Dungeons and Dragon 5th Edition and GURP, with some original rules to make the game fit in the world of the book and tv show.
If the first two editions took more or less six months to write and publish, the third edition became bigger; the Kickstarter blew up a few days before closing time, and donations continued six months after the initial deadline. Many fans excitement and more than 6K later, the book was financed, but a second book, the monster manual, was born from a reached stretched goal.
One year and many revisions later, both books are now in early access for patrons and will be available to download to the main public by the beginning of January 2021
The money I am getting from Kickstarter and pledges are to pay people helping me with the book (Artists, editors, consultant, etc), as well as helping with the printing fees. I am not making any money in the production of this book.
Lev Grossman, author of The Magicians, as well as the TV producer Henry Alphonso Meyer, are aware of the project and even have supported it through retweets and encouragement
If any of the creators ask this project to be stopped I will, but as of now they were supportive as I am not making any money

YES YES YES ! This book is created so a beginner can start playing as well as someone who knows how to do Tabletop RPGs! I want this to be used by as many fillorian as possible and try to be inclusive as much as I can! If ever there are questions, I am always happy to answer! I even held a session for new groups to help them create their characters!
The Fillorian System is a brand new system that is a hybrid between DND 5th edition, GURP and Monster of the Week, It has its own rules adapted to the universe of The Magicians
For example, magic has limits for spellcasters and if they push it too far, they can become Niffins.
